It's a dog eat dog world these days, or at least it seems like it. People have turned off their empathy and allow themselves to merely watch the world and the floundering of others as uninterested, cold bystanders.

...or the person you care for - love - the most.

There's someone like that for you. You'll put yourself in the line of fire for them because your love is that strong...even if you don't realize it yet. Or, maybe, if your definition of "love" is tolerating them more or hating them less than anyone else. It doesn't matter if you have to expose yourself to pain, to others, or to them.

Because even if you're not with them or will ever be with them in that way, some people are worth going up to bat for.

2. Mental: They're being tortured with cruel words or subtle barbs that are putting them down, and you can't take it.

12. Cover Up: You're protecting them from society's gaze by pretending to be their significant other or even married to them. Hopefully, your real desires don't ruin this.
13. Instinctive: You didn't even realize how you feel for them, but your drive to protect them has made you aware - especially when you jump into harm's way without a second thought.
14. Jealous: They don't want to be around that sleaze, do they? You think you're protecting them, yet it's your jealousy coming through.
15. Rescue: Dungeons, dragons, or thugs...this is a real, all out rescue mission! There's nothing that can get in your way.
16. Sacrifice: For them, you'll do the ultimate. Your life is nothing compared to theirs, and you'll sacrifice yourself with no second thought whatsoever. But have you thought about how they'd feel?

THE SLAP-SLAP-FUCK MEME

When characters spend a lot of time bickering, it is all but inevitable that sooner or later one will interrupt the other in mid-rant by suddenly grabbing them and kissing them.The kissed one rarely resists, and usually responds wholeheartedly.

Usually this is triggered by their hostilities reaching a climax, followed by a moment where both stare at each other in combined confusion and shock, after which they dive into the kiss.

Either way, the kiss prompts both to realize that they've been in love all this time — the rationale being that they wouldn't argue so much if they didn't give a damn about each other. Normally results in some kind of permanent change in their relationship.

In this meme, we're taking that concept one step more.

Maybe you and this person have been at each others neck forever, in a sort of dance of belligerent sexual tension. On the other hand, you could be friends that get along swimmingly, but right now you're just irritated. Or it's something in between - or even obvious love. At any rate, you're in a will-they-won't-they relationship, with it being clear you care about the other...or at least it being clear to everyone around you. Get a room, you two.

Despite the meme name, no physical violence need be involved. Actually, real arguments need not be involved, either. One of the characters could be upset, crying, sarcastic, giving the other the silent treatment. There just needs to be tension that erupts into lip-on-lip contact...that leads to skin to skin contact. If you know what you mean.

So what brought you here? Jealousy? Anger at someone for being so reckless? Them ignoring you? Being angry you care so much about them? Whatever the case may be, it's looking less and less important. What does matter is where you go from here. Denial? Confessions...

Ahh, what a beautiful day. The sun is shining, the flying animals of your choice are making their noises, and the sky is, presumably, as blue as can be. Finally, a break from this awful weather! And you know what else? It's a perfect day for a picnic with your honey (or hopefully soon to be honey). There's nothing quite as romantic as a well-executed picnic, so if you want to make an impression or just have a good time, break out the food under the shade of a tree. The best part is that a picnic can be as unique as you two are: a beautiful spread on top of a blanket, burgers grabbed from the drive-through and eaten with your legs dangling from the backseat, or a heart meal of venison one of you hunted while you sit on the bodies of your enemies. All that's required is to enjoy the food and the peaceful time together.

There are outliers, of course, but many societies have come to the point where nudity is a reserved affair. That's understandable though, isn't it? The naked body is like one big target, with all our most sensitive spots exposed in a most dangerous way. Maybe it's some kind of carryover from primitive times, but it's common practice to shield your body unless you're taking care of inescapable tasks, with someone you trust, or being intimate - with the last two often overlapping. No matter if you're less than comfortable showing what you've been given or if it's next to normal with you, one situation is nearly universally awkward, however: getting naked for the first time in front of someone you intend on being intimate with. If social lubricant is involved, things may be different, yet otherwise, you may feel that uncertainty in the pit of your stomach. What if they don't like the way you look? What if they ask about your scar? They can say they love you, but does that mean your whole body. Whether, the time has come to take that first step with this person, no matter what secrets about your body you're not sure you want to reveal or how confident you are with the situation.
